War Eagles Compete in State Cross Country Meet

Congratulations to the GCA Boys Cross Country team for their highest team finish at the SCHSL State Meet this past Saturday. Three War Eagles posted personal records in the meet, including Bryce Sox (19:08), Cameron Ramirez (19:17), and Mitchell Stevens (19:59).

Cross Country Sweeps Region Championships

The War Eagles Boys and Girls Cross Country teams were both victorious in the Region 3-2A Championship Meet held at Memorial Stadium on Thursday. The wins give GCA their first Cross Country championships in school history. The War Eagles will run in the State Qualifiers next Saturday, October 27th.

War Eagles Compete in Highlander Classic

Congratulations to the War Eagle Cross Country boys and girls teams on their participation in the Highlander Classic at Heathwood Hall yesterday. The boys were paced by junior Cameron Ramirez (19:19) and senior Bryce Sox (19:20) and finished 10th amongst 25 varsity teams. The girls were led by senior Madeline McKeown, with a time of 28:20.

Cross Country Competes at Pelion Invitational

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams on their showing in the Strictly Running Pelion Invitational yesterday at Pelion High School. Top runners for the boys was senior Bryce Sox with a time of 19:53 and for the girls was senior Madeline McKeown with a time of 28:40. A special shout out to

GCA Athletic Updates/Schedule Changes

Our Varsity football team will make up our game from Friday against White Knoll on Wednesday, September 19th at 6:30 p.m. The game will be played at White Knoll. We were suppose to play at Spirit Communications Park but they cannot accommodate  on Wednesday. Our JV will still play at A.C. Flora on Thursday. Game time is 6 p.m.

Congratulations to the War Eagle Cross Country team on their participation in the Lexington County Championships hosted by Lexington High School. Senior Madeline McKeown was GCAs top female runner in the 3.1 mile run, while junior Cameron Ramirez was the top male participant with a time of 19:41.
