Boys Varsity Baseball · GCA Opens Forest Acres Classic With Win


The War Eagles bats came alive to lead the team to a 10-7 victory over Atlantic Shores Christian in the first round of the Forest Acres Classic. Mason Turner lead the team with three hits, three runs scored, and one RBI. Savion Smith had the go ahead two run triple in the fifth. Smith was 2-4 with a team high 4 RBIs on the day. Brent Stukes also chipped in two RBIs for the War Eagles. Peyton Starkey pitched four innings for GCA, and Warren Wasden came in to shut down Atlantic Shores the final three innings.

The win moves the War Eagles to 9-2 on the year. They will face host team, AC Flora, tomorrow night at 8:00 PM in the second game of the Forest Acres Classic.
